I don't know the details and I'm not blaming the victim or excusing the behavior, but it's always best not to engage with or argue with obviously crazy people. don't like gays, yo. We were concerned one of them might try to impress her by gay-bashing us. We held our tongues, but didn't get back on the subway for another five months.
