Nice work, getting Midtown Manhattan vibes from it.

Yeah, the 338 metre design is far more balance but, I don't see any real reason the 308 version couldn't have been more balanced too. The 338 version is still far from perfect with the taller floors heights on the higher tiers.

I think the height increase depends on how far Mizrahi wants to take it. He should have an excellent chance getting it pursuing it to the very end. Time is probably not on his side even at the snail's pace.

The One | 338.3m | 94s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners l u/c

From this angle the floor-plates look so small compared to the neighbours… if Sam gets his height increase to 94 storeys. this “One” will be close to a pencil tower ;-).

It is interesting how they form the floors. You would think they would form the whole floor as one. You can see they leave the corners when they are forming the top floors and then come back an fill them in after.

Awesome updates. I can't see Sky Tower catching the One now. It looks like they are in a good groove now. Also those steel workers have some huge balls working up so high. I'd faint.

The One is at 25 floors (I think that's generous) and One Yonge's core has reached 7 floors. I don't see noticeable growth on The One since the last update. One Yonge is almost past the podium and onto the smaller tower floor plates. One Yonge has grown by a couple floors since the last update.

I'm counting 27 floors but I could be wrong. We won't really know Sky Towers speed until it passes the podium. Also another thing to consider is Skytower has lower ceiling heights and more floors to pour then the One so unless they have a ton more workers and are working around the clock I don't see them catching up until after the One tops out.

That's because most of the corners are supported by the angled steel hangers you see below... so the corner concrete pours follow the installation of the hangers.

This is the main reason I want to go up the CN tower at some point. I'll probably wait 5 more years, but I like having comparison images to when I went up in 2014, when the Entertainment District was much more open.

Great glazing on 160 Front but the fatness accentuated by the bulging in the middle and rounded edges kind of makes me nauseous.

Shameless plug (already posted in the Future Canadian Skylines) for my 2023 Future Toronto (Bloor-Yorkville to Lake) ... with 50 or so updates.

LINK:
http://upside-down.ca/futuretoronto/...TOWN-LARGE.jpg

Note that while this is a best case scenario (stuff in the pipeline that may never see shovels in the ground like Union Centre)... 50% of the updates are under construction or in the site prep/demolition phase including 4 of the tallest... so not all pie in the sky.

Here's a Screenshot starring FORMA so I stay on topic .

And to continue the shameless self-promotion...here’s a LINK to a 4mg jpeg ‘Mega View’ if you’re interested in why it took me hours to draw stuff like the *FORMA super-tall to scale ;-). Please don’t look at this on your phone (or smart watch).

Be sure to magnify.

Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 2) | 299m | 90s | Menkes | a—A l demolition/heritage retention

Likely bending the ‘under construction’ rules (what ever they are ;-) so sue me for posting here. Sugar Wharf 2 wasting no time prepping/demolition/heritage retention for the Phase 2 three tower mega-project ... with Phase 1 moving closer to completion ( 2 residential towers nearing exterior completion and 1 office building complete).

A slice of my future rendering with the re-designed SkyTower (now proposed @ 325 metres/105 storeys) … along with its Phase 3 sibling on the left (now proposed taller @ 306 metres/92 storeys) which further obscures even the tallest Sugar Wharf 2 tower (@299m) from this angle.

M city

I took these today, the podium is really taking shape now for what will be the tallest building in Mississauga (M3 at M City).

Wish they weren't next to seven lane avenues but I do like the effect they've done on M1 and M2.
