Very few buildings do this to me, but the good side really truly takes my breath away. If the vents and blow through hadn't f-ed everything up, this would be the best building built in the usa in this cycle. Even better than THe MoMA tower or one vanderilt

Damn. That's a pretty glowing review. From its good side (even with the blow-through), it's still Top 5 for me. 111W57 is better IMO. One Dekalb and One Chicago (Tower A) already look better, but time will tell.

Will this whole stretch be covered with decking and landscaped? If so, that will be AMAZING!

Yeah I was just thinking how cool that would be, especially if it connected to the Riveralk in multiple place,s but I'm guessing it's way too expensive.

Nope, just what you see here. The city would need to step up and pay for any extensions, but if they're building deck parks there are like 20 better locations where they would be useful to the public instead of a few hundred wealthy condo dwellers...

Great shots! Is the hotel open?

It's amazing to think that not so long ago this was nothing but a massive concrete skeleton.

Not yet, work is ongoing for the hotel build-out. Unsure of when it's supposed to open, nor have we seen any updated renderings..

When do we suppose they will get rid of all those ropes hanging from the top?

I said it a long time ago here about how it would be difficult to wash these windows. I guess now we know the solution....and it kinda sucks if they are gonna leave those up there all the time.

Don't they usually rotate/spin back to the roofside when not in use? Maybe we'll see that after construction has been done for a little while

^^^If that is the permanent solution, it would not be consistent with OSHA standards (which I believe are also reflected in building codes). Buildings over 500' are required to have a Building Maintenance Unit, so I'm not sure how they avoided having one on this property besides simply not following the rules.

That’s seriously embarrassing if that’s the final window washing solution. Anyone seen an aerial shot that reveals if there is a maintenance unit on the roof? Maybe it’s on back order or being tweaked (I hope).
