If you mean the one behind it on Lavaca, that’s like a Hilton Garden Inn or something like that. Boring hotel.

Just for my impatience. I want to see some of the big proposals get started already. We only had two 300'+ towers (44 East & Waterloo) break ground in 2020.

Are you referring to the one story structures? If so those buildings are under renovation. It’ll be a photography studio.

SW corner: UT building.
NW corner NEW Family Courthouse.
NE Corner one story 20s building that will house a photography studio AND Dive bar
SE Corner the Linden will replace the 2 story brick building with a small parking lot.

Wow I just an email from the builder that they are sold 50% in this bldg in less than 6 months...This is crazy

That is honestly crazy to me, given: (1) the relative price of other downtown condos (e.g., the 360, and the Spring); and (2) the fact that of the most recent condos that have gone up, about half of them have led to lawsuits filed for shoddy workmanship (Independent & 70 Rainey).

there isn't nearly enough housing rn. everything is selling quickly and over asking price.

Demand to PURCHASE housing is out of control, but apartments occupancy and rents are down.

Anecdotally my apartment is now going for 30% less than what I signed up for 9 months ago, and I can't get a realtor to call me back to represent me as a buyer.
