It's true unfortunately, VKChaz posted about it in the General Developments thread. Wasting $52 million to have a vacant lot on State St would be stupid for a waaay too many reasons

The minivan-as-construction-vehicle shot at 424 S. Wabash might be the best picture I've seen on SSP all week! Granted, it's a Monday, but still...

Also didn't realize this is nearly 400 ft. (399). The 24 floors are deceiving. 333 N Green is 282' and 800 W Fulton is about 300' and those two already look pretty tall.

And wow 625k sq ft? More than half of Salesforce which is ~ 1.2M. Articles says 500k leaseaeble space but still. I can see why building tall office buildings is so expensive...

It ended up on the last page.

This cluster including 410, 424 and 525 S Wabash is one that I’m rooting for the most. Even with these 3 developments there will be too much surface parking in that area. Not sure how likely they are especially 525, but 525 was moving ahead with the approval process in 2021. I’m guessing funding won’t move forward until the hotel market bounces back at least.
