Was looking at some units within this tower, condos available for purchase, and this tower is quite a bargain versus what you'd get over in Chelsea or the Village or of similar quality or views in Manhattan or even waterfront spots in Brooklyn. For the views one gets, and the location, amazing what river separation can do for prices. Although I bet the HOA fee's are high... but... but... still cheaper than some Manhattan places that offer no view that go for 5 million +.

On a side note, check out the penthouse at 35 Hudson going for 59 million. Just insane.

or should i say, one that explains it?

because i see two elevations various places, seemingly with or without sea level, but can't tell for sure what is correct.

your article has links to a couple other articles — all say 781 units, but two say 900 feet and one says 888 feet.

strange its so unclear.

CTBUH has it listed at 271 meters which is 889.108 ft. Most sources list it at 900 ft, which depending on the discrepancy, is very minor. Most likely a rounded figure. 900 sounds better than 889. Elevation for the area is 7-10 to 10-14 ft, AMSL.

I'd be more inclined to go with the Perkin source.

I looked at the plans for this building once upon a time, it was 899 ft on the architectural drawings filed with the city.

99 Hudson's change in facade isn't that bad from that angle.

Pic by me. Taken tonight.

Quality is shit. I really need something besides a cellphone. But... I can confirm that the rotating lights on 99 Hudson are borderline asinine in their brightness, and they rotate to the point that its kinda distracting.

Personally I thought the lights were pretty neat, but definitely in more of a blade runner-esque way (especially in fog or misty conditions)

Just a random shot not of the lights
