Red face TORONTO | 117-127 Broadway Ave | 36, 33 FLOORS | 374 FT,348 FT / 114 M,106 M

A new project is starting soon in the dense side streets of the apartment neighbourhood adjacent to Yonge and Eglinton. A set of twin buildings, 33 and 36 floors, will replace several walk up apartment buildings on Broadway Ave, to be replaced in a different project.

The project is called Line 5 Condos, referencing the new streetcar line going up along Eglinton and near to this complex. The project is tailored to "contemporary" lifestyle, with specifications made for food delivery vehicles and technological additions to the buildings. The buildings have been advertised pretty fairly over the last few months, with the second tower available for apartment purchasing after selling out the initial tower. Renders are as follows;

The application to demolish the existing walk up's has been approved two days ago...

Taken today

Peeking through the existing apartments...this is looking east toward one of the towers, or it's podium. (it's likely the latter)

I took this yesterday, and the project in question is on the left. You can see the stylized balcony forms taking shape on the south tower, which must be nearing the thirteen or fourteenth floor by now.
