The south side of SA, including Downtown, is pretty flat. The hilliness starts immediately north of Downtown and just increases as you go further north.

I believe you if you say SA is a Californian city, except for the lack of palm trees

The Frost tower really does make a distinctive glassy element in an otherwise mostly solid building materials skyline.

I've seen a fair number of palm trees in San Antonio, but just a very tiny fraction of the thousands and thousands of palm trees in places like southern California.
