Nice! I went by and saw the fence myself. It does include the residential portion. Exciting that this project extends the grid a bit, too.

Design Changes?

Did anyone ever determine if the final office design was simplified?

I remember seeing the nice angular faceted exterior walls in the early renderings (Forum p.1 & 2) but I didn’t see them present in the later renderings (Forum p. 3,).

The angles were one of the nicest features of the project design.

Pretty sure the angles are limited to two facades and always have https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/1295...a-GA/14342549/

Yes, the Spring Street façade of the office building portion was one of the sides that originally had indicated facets/angles, but the later rendering shows that the design element has been eliminated in that particular example. It clearly shows a flat surface treatment now (Forum p.3).

However, there were other early schematic renderings that showed us the building placement and height within the over-all development that also indicated flat building facades. So it looks like we still may not know what the final design is for sure, since the renderings seem contradictory.

We may just have to wait and see what version of the project rendering the developer decides to post along the newly installed fencing – or better yet - wait until the actual building floors start going up.

I'm not sure if demo has started but I saw a dumpster on the site. The land development permit is now issued.

It looks like they are doing interior demo at the moment. I don't think it will be long before there is major activity on the project.

Let’s get this project going vertical! Next up would be great to see Cousins WP office tower and New City’s GA Power parcels break ground.

Don't you think New City is more likely to get going well before Cousins? does Cousins have land disturbance and others needed to go vertical? anyone know new city status as well?

I don't think I've seen this rendering of Arts Center Way.

What's going on? Are they going to demo the building or just pick at it?

Downgraded again. Atlanta loves doing that.

I actually like this more. The only thing I think is worse, is the parking deck. I would rather they do something that blends more with the rest of the buildings rather than stand out like "hey look at my big parking deck". I hope that the DRC asked them to make changes to the parking deck.

Did they make any changes to the hotel portion? I do not see it in the renderings...

I don't think this is a downgrade at all. Other than the art that accentuates the parking deck, the project looks great. The residential portion is drastically improved over the previous rendering.
