from those new angles it looks (looked?) like a skinny, modern maritime/downtown dream hotel.

^ This has slowly been moving, with some design change (not sure how much), but the floors are the same. Haven't been by the site in a while.

I thought this building is canceled, as being said by the diagram…

Too many people get hung up on the diagrams. Follow the facts (which hopefully are in the threads) for what’s going on.

They’re from the archives of 1947.

I was there a few weeks back... no signs of a supertall about to ascend.

1000+ FT in NoMad.. WOW!! The Madison House dominates the area now, this one will be approx 200 ft taller!

Hoping for a few good tweaks to the architectural plans to make it more appealing.

I hoped that Boris Kuzinev was no longer involved with this project and that his insane, Tel Aviv-style proposal was dead. Sadly, however, that’s not the case.

That crazy metal facade will be an extreme eyesore.

Maybe they’ll go with glass, who knows what changes have been made. So far, no new renderings have surfaced, but follow the latest filings.

It’s interesting that this tower and 520 5th, towers of similar height on 5th Ave, have been revived at the same time. Stalled projects are beginning to move again, another sign that things are returning to normal.

I hope the design stays essentially the same. It has a Lincoln Center vibe. Classy late-modern/late 60's early 70's.
