Wow, thanks! Where did you find that info if I may ask?

I was given permission to share by the general manager of construction at Stober Group. They had their topping off last week with their construction crews. Sounds like they will be having a more formal topping off event with the media in the near future so we’ll have to watch for that.

I saw that you were referencing 108m. I believe that is the height proposed for Kerkoffs new tower at the FSH site. They dropped the height of the tower from 41 to 35 storeys.

Dilworth Centre subdividing?

https://www.kelowna.ca/homes-buildin...ments/s21-0048

I found this to be interesting and wondered if anybody had any ideas about what was going on there. I was speculating that they would want to sell those chunks of the mall off to redevelop maybe? Or is it possible this land could be used to extend Parkview Crescent to the highway as some sort of new access option for Costco? Other? There has definitely been a lot going on at this mall recently so I am quite curious about the intention of subdividing the property.

A through road from the Highway to Baron would be interesting, but only in the same manner Underhill is without having an actual controlled intersection on HW97

Not really construction per se, but as a massive fan of Mexican food, I'm delighted to see this now open. It's basically a giant Mexican food emporium. I hope it's good, and as a result, does well. The location isn't great.

This could be very good news. As of now, Kelowna has a huge lack of good mexican restaurants. Latin Fiesta is the only good one that comes to mind, and it's on the expensive side. The place at mall on Bernard is decent. El Taquero is a joke. Only reason why it's survived is because of lack of competition.

This looks like it could be in Riverside CA or somewhere, Kelowna's landscape and highway give it a Cali vibe, this fits in

My apologies. I was mistake on my previous number. The height of Lm 7 is 299’, not 399’. It is currently the third tallest tower. Sorry for the confusion.

No one's heard of Fiesta Del Sol in Landmark 1. Authentic and cheap.

Landmark VI is listed at 81M (266', 17 stories). Seems LM VII is substantially higher and a good 7/8 additional stories. Purely anecdotal and visual, I've got no numbers myself, just curious if the 299' is also officially from the Stober group? Thx

The 299’ is the official based on the elevation drawings I have. Initially I said 399’ as that is the top elevation they have at the peak of the mechanical room. I mistakenly didn’t realize the elevation started at 100’ at grade so that’s where the 299’ comes from.

Below is the link that will answer your question. The DP ideally would have been circulated with the subdivision but there was a minor delay.

That's a nice development. Would've liked to see more retail but maybe it sets the stage to see more mixed use redevelopment of that strip mall. Freshco and Staples on the ground floor with 6-12 storey residences above.

Actually let's tackle the entire Hwy 97/Harvey Ave corridor and get LRT in there. Drool.

Kinda neat, kinda tacky. Maybe more suitable up in Big White. When I think of Kelowna, I don't think Central/Northern Europe.

The thing I don't understand about Kelowna is why they built the CBD ~2 miles from downtown, it's the only city i've ever seen that's designed like this and it's bizarre, every other city has big office buildings downtown except Kelowna
