Internet in Montreal

I'm currently looking for a good internet service in Montreal. Got really tight budget for internet as a broke student

I came across this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IVC_Telecom. Have anyone had any experience with this company?

I would be weary of small and relatively unknown ISPs. The prices are usually pretty good, but they usually don't have very good customer/technical support. It's also not uncommon for these types of companies to go bankrupt after a few years as the profit margins for ISP resellers are pretty low and they have to pay additional fees to the larger companies (Bell, Videotron) to outsource their technicians and for access to their networks.

If you are looking for an independent ISP with good prices in Montreal, I would recommend Distributel or eBox. Both have been around for a while and have good reputation in Quebec. I know people who have had their services and have heard good things about both companies.

Lightbulb This was pretty useful...

Found a site, PlanHub with lost of reviews about ISP. Some are crap out there because the over book like airlines... They buy 100Mbits of bandwidth from Bell but sale 50Mbits to 5 customers! Here's the PlanHub's list of Best internet providers in Montreal.

Let me know your thoughts!
