New!!!!!! Just yesterday I went to the IDS tower for the first time ever! I have been atop the WTC, Empire State Building, Sears, and Hancock, but yet never the IDS, but just did! Here are photos taken from the 50th floor looking outside and of the inside of the IDS tower.

A couple shots of the skylobby located on the 50th floor. As of June 18, 2006

Looking eye to eye to the Wells Fargo Building.

Looking eye to eye of 225 South 6th Street Tower

225 South 6th and the Metrodome

The Metrodome

Looking off to the southeast, if you look closely you can see the runways at the MSP International Airport.

A shot of the elevator bank on the 50th floor.

A shot of the resturant/banquet hall "The Windows on Minnesota" also on the 50th floor.

Coming back down the elevator going express!

A shot of the elevator bank in the lobby of the IDS that for floors 36-51 that you take to check out the views!!!

Shot of a IDS pic in above securety by the elevator banks.

A shot of the Crystal Court located at the bottom of the building.

I didn't have to pay anything, I took an elevator with a waiter who was kind enough tell me that lots of poeple go up there Sunday morning just to look around. The Windows on Minnesota Resturant/Banquet is only functional to the public on Sunday's 10 AM - 2 PM. There were lots of people up there not even to eat, but just to check out the views. So if you want to go up there, every Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM is the time to do it. It doesn't cost anything to go up there, it's on the 50th floor. Just hop up an elevator in the elevator bank for floors 39-51.

Conflicting info there. 36-51? 93-51? Yet the picture clearly states 39-51.

We also need a new pic of Sexton II added. It will be 34 floors and 385 feet in height. It is nothing fabulous, but will add infill and heignt to a area that is lacking in any life.

Twin Cities condo market poised for a shakeoutAssociated Press

MINNEAPOLIS - The Twin Cities condominium market could be poised for a shakeout.

Faced with an oversupply, Twin Cities condo developers are canceling projects, delaying construction and converting condo units into rental properties.

An estimated ten-thousand condo units are now under development in the 13-county greater Twin Cities metro area. That's almost double the annual average of five- to six-thousand units over the last five years.

Most of the metro area's new condos are going up in downtown Minneapolis, which has 16 projects now under construction and another 20 in the planning stages.

Market researchers still expect demand for downtown condos to grow over the next ten years. But they expect the pace of sales to be slower than it has been in recent years.

old news locally, and a bit exaggerated as well. Its true though that some projects will probably be scaled back. Its not that harsh on the market however, with presale requirements its much harder to totally over saturate.

Because of presale requirements it is very difficult to oversaturate the market. That is why some buildings are being scaled back. Some projects do have investors that are very patient and will build their projects no matter what. When the project opens it has few residents but are almost full within months of completion. Such as any project by Shamrock.

Cool shot Sun. Love that view with the mills in the front.

Thank Toggie for these massive images of the A-Mill project:

These next two are views from 2nd St SE.

What do you think of Sexton II now toggie? I think it is coming out better all of the time. It will be a very nice addition to that area, that is currently pretty dead and boring.
I also love that they are keeping the old RR tracks in at A Mill.
