It says March 1st, 2021 construction start, and July 20th, 2022 completion

Went by today and the parking lot is closed. Looks like we can expect a March 1 groundbreaking.

That is fantastic news. I’m still rooting for Monroe Blocks.

Well, despite a recent article stating an "official groundbreaking" won't take place until April, there's currently equipment on site. I guess maybe we'll see some kind of "ceremonial groundbreaking" next month, unless Urbanize Detroit just has no idea what they're talking about.

Yeah, the construction methodology alone is going to make this one fascinating to watch!

Thank you for these updates in two different threads. I found myself looking for a Monroe Blocks update, unfortunately I think we’ll have to wait longer on that one.

It can’t be moved until foundation work starts.

I believe they’re building the foundations, first floor and elevator core first then building from the top down.

A couple photos posted by ShadowSoarer on Dyes from 4/30:

They're still removing the parking lot, but foundation work should start any day now.

Nice find! That's the first time I've seen the interior renderings. And I haven't seen the exterior roof deck view either yet. Plus, some of the other exterior renderings, while similar to perspectives we've already seen, have more of the background context of the city added in now.

Those look like some good-sized-units - 3 BR's, 2.5 baths... $1.275 million sounds about right. Here are the renderings from Zillow (all of the ones that haven't been posted on here yet) -

The development team is hosting a live, "First Look" event for all "brokers, buyers + friends". It will be Thursday, May 13, 4 - 7 pm, on the rooftop of Delmar Detroit (501 Monroe St).

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/first-l...s-152998196725

By the way, I think the official name for this building is just "Exchange" (no "the"). Nitpicking, but maybe someone can update that in the thread title. It will also help me not confuse it with THE Exchange, located in Kalamazoo

The eventbrite invitation contains a construction photo -

YouTube randomly recommended me this video. Seems like its just a digital fly around of the area with the building.

Looks like caisson drilling began last week. This one’s officially under construction!
