I would be very shocked if another thing from my childhood becomes an American "trend": Ube jam (halayang ube) on toast, or on pandesal. Mmmmm...

Nutella is crap these days, full of palm oil and stuff. There are a lot of hazelnut spreads from Italy that are much better.

Ube desserts certainly more common around here than a few years ago
