It's been a crappy week for weather. Naturally, it's the same week I took off for vacation time. *sigh* It's just been a really poor year, weather-wise.
I heard the big spruce tree outside my bedroom window whapping on the window constantly (While trying to sleep) and feeling like my apartment building would blow away with each wind gust. Wow. Good thing I brought in the patio furniture off the balcony!

I thought the summer was good! Didn't we set a new record for hours of sunshine? Nothing to compain about there.
I have been enjoying the last couple weeks, some rainy days yes, but very warm, most days between 12 and 15. Monday was sunny and today was sunny. Not bad at all! (Also YVR has yet to fall below zero this year) In fact all of the banana trees still have their leaves where i live (looking a little drab but still hanging in there) Usually the first frost finishes them off until next year.

Cold snap in January, snow in April, overcast August... what summer we did get was fantastic, I'll admit. But the rest of the time (regardless of what the statistics say) just didn't feel that great for me.
The april thing really did piss me off. July, September, and October have been our only good months so far (and November considering it is November, haha)
No we definitely didn't. August was actually cloudier than normal, and I think July was normal or slightly below normal. Both this last summer and the one before have been cloudier than normal.
That's not to say our last few summers have been horrible - they're still good by Eastern Canadian standards, IMO. They just haven't been up to our usual stellar standards.
Quite the drop. Below -7 is going to be pretty chilly - oh wait, I just realized that's the high - yikes. Would be nice to have a white Christmas though. Wonder how long it'll last.
That's awesome... but... The Weather Network is notoriously unreliable for forecasting anything beyond two days. I was expecting snow last Friday which was in their 5 day forecast. That'd be awesome though, I have snow tires on my car I finally want to test out.
Yeah the weather network has trouble getting the current conditions right, so I would take this with a grain of salt. That said if they are predicting a drop that far below average there must be some basis for it.
