Yeah, almost the entire neighbourhood sold and moved out, kind of crazy, but it sure will provide a ton more housing for people without any displacement or loss of rental stock

From Wesgroup twitter April 2nd:

Located at the corner of United Blvd & King Ed, Elevate provides a high exposure opportunity, ideal for both large-scale operations and small bay tenants eager to grow their enterprises in the highly coveted area of Southwest Coquitlam.

Why don’t they ever build these things right out to the sidewalk?

Probably for parking closer to the separate units.
If it was all on one side, a tenant on the far side would have to walk a long way around the building.
Back side is all semi-tractor loading bays.

Townhouse plan for Port Coquitlam leaves orphan lot

Woodbridge Rindall Ltd. will have to build its townhomes on two separate Port Coquitlam sites as the house owner in the middle doesn't want to move.

The holdout lot looks big enough for a fourplex anyways.

It's a tilt-up. The tilt it up from the outside.

lol, I realize that. I guess I meant more why don’t they make them stick the parking elsewhere and have a better interaction with the main streets. Cities like wanting to have these buildings setback from the street for some reason

Also, Alex they tilt it up from the inside (as you can see in the picture)

I guess that the nature of the businesses don't really need interaction with the streets. No one is window shopping or sitting on a cafe patio there.
The only alternate place for parking would be the roof (underground probably too expensive).
