Wish the architect choose not to make a statement between the faux and reconstructed heritage facade.

The Diener Diener-esque casting looks cool though. I prefer some abstraction over the literal "heritage" wall-paper on BAC1.

Ten York (224 meters) is gonna seriously mess up the view of the ICE Towers, I wish it was being built in front of something else instead. One York (173 meters) and Harbourplaza Residences (224 - 236 meters not tall enough to be seen yet)) will need to do double duty to compensate..

It will only mess it up from the angle seen above. So unless you plan on spending all your time out on a boat or standing on the shores or Algonquin Island it won't ruin the views of Ice but ad to the mix.

This should be on the list very soon. Prep work to the site has begun according to UT.

Good chance 10 York is going to a massive POS so best for it to be cancelled or moved out into the boonies

From what I've heard, Tridel/Walman have taken to heart the criticism they received for 300 Front and plan on ensuring that high end materials are used at Ten York. I could be wrong, but I recall talk of them using curtain wall.

Let's pray, curtain wall might be the only thing that can save it.

I hope so. Tridel really messed up their first major urban development. I know they're a trusted name in the burbs where all people seem to care about is interior spaces and ample parking. It's a shame the city couldn't give developers report cards, 2 back to back failing grades and they can't get building permits for a couple of years.

Tridel's solution to iconflicts with interior floor plans and LEED certifications is to throw up as much spandrel as possible and see what sticks. Even One Old Mill is loaded with spandrel that follows no pattern and the building is about as non glass as buildings get nowadays. Curtain wall will help but, it won't turn a dud into a gem.

It's unfortunate how much the architecural quality of the city's tallest has diminished over the last 5 years. It bodes well for the sheer number of skyscraper that have been and will continue to be built as they are being built for the mass audience. I'd rathe fewer tower developments than potential duds like 10 York and YC to jion the likes of Aura and Trump

Hardly their first urban build. These guys have build a ton of high rises in the past 50 years.

Their reputation is based on being a full service company. They construct the development through their general contracting company and manage thè condos with their property management company. The DelZotto name has a few vertical slums to their credit. Father built the infamous San Ramanoway high rises and Kingsview Park by Kipling and Dixon.

Largest urban development to date is Village by the Grange. I believe Tridel is responsible for the first high rise condo in Ontario and their former Edmonton subsidiary built the first condo in Canada.

Well it's their first real build in Downtown Toronto. The majority of their work has been in the 905, North York, and Scarborough.

Define "real". Most condos have been built in the suburbs. Any developer existing before 2002 will have a substantial suburban portfolio. Not sure what that has to do with anyways. 300 Front is surrounded by Tridel builds from early on in this boom. Village by the Grange was a massive 1970s development. Polo Club was a big one from the late 1980s.
