Those trailers? It’s a small site, and there’s no room. It’s partially over the sidewalk.

Such a tiny lot. But you can do a lot in New York with so little. This will be a great tower.

The Princeton Club lot is about the same size. Hopefully, another tower like this will rise there too.

I'd really love to see Larry's Class C office tower be replaced with a supertall hotel-condo.

Is this one under construction now? Was looking for it, and found it here…

looks like they're still digging. Last pit we got to see in midtown was with 1 Vanderbilt, and they went down pretty deep for that. That was for an office building of course but the principal is the same for any skyscraper - gotta reach that bedrock to start drilling.

Render of my own model of the project using Google Earth Street view imagery, this is really a spectacular building!

This tower fits perfectly in the Fifth Avenue streetscape.

And a great fit in the Midtown skyline.

I was just about to type the same.

Not sure if it was intentional with the architects, but it's very nice.

It's not perfect, but I like it better than many others. I'll give it an 8.

The FKA RCA Building could use a power wash. I'm really looking forward to this building going up.

Ha-Ha. I remember when they did a soft water wash back in the 70's to Rockefeller Center. The complex had this almost magical dark palette due to years of smoke and car exhaust. Then, all of a sudden, the buildings looked brand new again. It actually took a little getting used to. Of course, the buildings looked stunning, (still IMO the finest urban grouping on the planet), but it took just a while to warm up to them being sparkly again.
