Skysoar- It was originally known as the Chicago Daily News Building. It has a lot of history and is definitely worth reading up on. There used to be a gorgeous Art Deco mural inside which still exists today but is tucked away in storage somewhere, I believe.

^^Great shots. It's amazing how small the Boeing HQ looks in these recent pictures.

I'm always surprised again and again with how modern 150 N. Wacker (completed in 1970) appears. It has truly aged very, very well. It even holds it's own against all the new surrounding towers.

It's been painted that dark color from its original color, which I believe was tan or an off white. I believe all the windows were replaced about 10 or 15 years ago as well. It was definitely apparent at that time the building was born in the '70s. Looks much better these days.

AWESOME picture. I love Sears in the background and that is a perspective I don't think we've seen on this forum before.

Do the fins stop after the transfer floor? It appears they do.

They stop right below the transfer floor, then pick back up again at the next floor to accent the setback. They will skip a floor one more time at the last setback.

Its is very subtle. I had to look again to see it.

I forgot about this quick photo I took after OHC. The building can be seen quite well from I-55.

Looking at the webcam it seems thet got two more floors of steel to go. I wonder if the top mechanical floors will be illuminated?
