IIRC the height increase is due to go to council in January. The last submission to the city looked like it was mostly crossing the t's and dotting the i's.

Man this will be stunning when the ‘champagne’ cladding is added to the angled hangers and super-columns. Easily my favourite glass (curtain-wall) on a residential building in the city.

Sam Mizrahi’s tour of “The One”. Pretty straight forward construction project… lol.

Here's a link to a half hour conversation with Sam Mizrahi who talks a lot about the building:

Today, cell phone shots

Cladding has begun on the metallic sections of the facade, I took these whilst on a walk to City Hall. Note that the cladding is wrapped ina protective layer so we'll see the final colour and effect later on.

The first sign of the diagrid aluminium cladding being installed on a hanger corner… appears to be either insulation pieces (with aluminum to be added) or a protective wrap. Time will tell... what a Xmas tease.

An insider confirmed yesterday that these cladding corners are just test panels… and even better news, the ‘champagne’ colour originally previewed has changed to be closer to a gold tone for the final cladding yet to be installed.
Love that news.

Covered test panels are on the right.

What’s this box cantilevering out of the sixth level?

Not long before we see another set of the angled hangers (supporting all the corners of the tower) above these in the photo.

I'm shocked that they didn't include the panels as part of the units as they were built in the factory. I guess they are quite large, which is probably why they went with applying them in the field. That had to cost a fortune! Looks like it will provide an extremely high quality end result. Looking forward to seeing the end result.

If I recall, the diagrid of Hearst Tower was similarly installed after the glass panels went up.

The One-

I changed the texture of the tower in my model to better reflect the darkness of the glass here. We'll see how accurate I was in time:

After a bit of a slow down while working on the 2 mechanical level floor-plates the last week or so, the next residential floor pour is well underway.
