Thanks for sharing Craigs. Brandon, that Milwaukee USBank Logo almost has an even worse effect... decimated that top.

The Onni tower crane is complete. In the background is a historic building that they refurbished and brought back to life as an office building. I'm assuming that where this tower is going up used to be the parking lot for that office building and will once complete, have parking capacity for it and the residents.

They really have a formula. They also own the historic office building at 9th/Hill which is surrounded by Level while the double tower Hope+Flower buildings surround a smaller office building... which they also own. The formula continues with the double tower Times Mirror surrounding the old LA Times office building. All of these residential towers are providing parking for the adjacent Onni-owned office buildings. Might they have extra parking at night when the offices are off to provide for a revitalized Broadway Theater District???

There is a strip of clear glass going vertically down the middle of the Beaudry. Interesting choice

Geoffrey Palmer's Ferrante's 1st phase is complete and leasing. Second phase is rising now. I do really love how they created this big fountain at the corner of the intersection for the public to enjoy.

The OUE Slide and corny SKYSPACE experience being deleted

I recall going by there through the yrs, before the owner's Davinci proj, & certainly ferrante proj, when it was mainly parking lots to the east & north, & that corner was the windowless BofA processing center. GH Palmer & his advisers, executives, architects, do show questionable taste in duplicating the exact same faux Tuscan facade for all their apt projs in dt, except the one on broadway (due to design codes). But the land their bldgs have gone up on has previously been among the most lifeless & marginal in the area.

This very long vid....I fast forwarded through most of it....gives a complete street view of sections of dtla on what looks like Halloween night....the Mayan club is right next to Onni's proj at Olympic & Hill St, & partygoers can be seen walking past Onni's construction barricade. That's another part of dt that I recall used to be very lifeless & marginal...so it's gratifying seeing it move to the next level. When Onni's highrise apt bldg is open & occupied, that will be another shot in the arm.

Waiting for all the improvements is a test of patience, but time is going by faster & faster. I still recall wondering when the Broadway Palace apt proj from Palmer was going to be built a few blocks east from Onni's current proj.

Going back to the logos, I’d like to see US Bank logo lowered. I think Salesforce Tower has that.

San Francisco regulates logos on buildings much more strictly than Los Angeles does.

hughfb3, thanks for the pics!

Thought I'd share this photo from Brookfield Properties of the Beaudry Tower.

Love it. Glad we at least we have 1000 Hill to look forward to now that these (Beaudry + Mistui) are basically done.

Is it safe to assume that 1045 S. Olive Street is dead? That would be so sad.

I’m not sure. But I’m very optimistic about the second Mistui Tower.

The tower in front of the Whole Foods. I might be wrong about the name/company.

I went by the site of the lucas museum today & it's obvious that, as they've announced, they're having supply chain issues. I was surprised at how few of the white customized exterior panels has been attached to the bldg.

In other projs, I'm always amazed at how quickly such features are completed. But with the Lucas, things are going very, very slowly. I'm sure its unique design is a major factor.. But still, the opening being delayed from 2022 to 2025?

Another proj going up in the arts dist is visible here...but it's rising against the backdrop of what this vlogger is showing about dtla....about LA. whoa. The city competes with other cities throughout the US & world for investment funds to get new projs underway. dtla also competes with other hoods...& cities....to attract tourists, day trippers, businesses.

About 2 yrs ago, when I saw just a few vids about how certain streets in Paris were being overrun with homeless camps, mainly immigrants from northern Africa, it gave me a poor impression of that town. If that can happen to an internationally loved & celebrated city like Paris, dtla doesn't have a prayer. Homeowners like the angeleno who's interviewed in this vid had better become more influential in LA city govnt & politics or else the future is going to become even rockier.

https://youtu.be/-vc6CHRrtH8?t=1002

EDIT: the Arthur Will fountain is running again!...apparently at a reduced level, but more than just the surrounding angled geysers to the side of it working. I noticed today, however, that the dwp's moat & fountains are still lifeless.

https://youtu.be/Oo6dXwaBNDQ?t=805

EDIT: ^ disregard that vid...the youtuber yesterday posted a vid actually filmed last yr. Should have known it was too good to be true....
