Yes there are brackets for the external trim that follow the actual structural members.

This surprised me a bit when it first went up, but on second thought it made a lot of sense the way they did it. Having the glass continuous through and behind the covers is much simpler and better technical detailing both for avoiding awkward glass shapes and reducing the number of joints, including diagonal joints that could be prone to leak. And once it's done the general public will never know the difference.

^Nice angle. What a beautiful building. It's everything BOA failed to be. I especially like how the serrated facade visually softens the corners.

Will the top of the building be lit up at night?

Yes, best angle IMO. Feels like I'm in a new city from that vantage.

We can see this building from our new place. I think it looks a bit better in person than on most pictures. It's not my favorite building but it could be worse.

No offense to you or this building, but if it was your favorite I'd be worried...

Why worry about others’ favorites?

Wow, the cladding on those structural supports look fantastic! This building just keeps getting better and better!

Thanks for the great pics, everyone!

Haha yeah. This and 110 Wacker were basically copy/paste or at least v1.0 and v2.0 by Goettsch and Riverside. Both are still blue boxes but at least they are very nice blue boxes.
