I can't help but think the obvious seams between the panels makes the building look a bit ticky-tacky. Why are revivalist architects so averse to mortar?

This tower is glorious.

I wish we could replicate this tower 50 times, replacing the remaining crappy tenement blocks.

200 East 83rd Street can be seen the background. Rising majestically on the Upper East Side.

Architecture that gravitates folks. You know, I hear numbers in the 80's are lucky in Chinese Culture on a side note.

I'd love to see buildings like this rise on 5th Avenue in Midtown (e.g., on Silverstein's shlock site in the 40s).

I'd love to see towers like this rise everywhere in NYC. This tower is magnificent.

Looking at the facade installation progress on the upper half of 200 East 83rd Street, a 35-story residential tower on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and developed by Naftali Group and Rockefeller Group, the topped out 243,128-square-foot reinforced concrete superstructure will yield a total of 86 residential units spread over 205,877 square feet, averaging 2,393 square feet apiece.
Sales for the homes are well underway and are being handled by Compass.

As evidenced in Chris' photo, this is one of the best buildings Stern has ever done IMO, and that's saying a lot because he has designed a lot of incredible towers.
