Unlike what everything had reported previously, it is now at approaching 679 feet. Many people forgot about the crown. I think it may go another section of steel up. I'll try and update next week if it does. Haven't had as much time to photograph lately

Another section of screen wall would be unusual.

I would have thought so too, but I remember the parapet being like 20 feet tall the on drawn diagrams on earlier pages. My perspective for size could be totally off though I guess

Nice shot with 110 Wacker in frame. I think the core of 110 Wacker is close to 679' as well. Interesting that 110 Wacker broke ground over 9 months (using this forum) after Wolf Point East and has roughly caught it in height give a week or 2. In fact demo of GGP didn't start until about 5-6 months after WPE groundbreaking.

So 110 Wacker is only 15.5 months in after drilling started. I'm impressed!

Actual Ground Breaking

Welp, if we want to be technical... I damn near captured the actual groundbreaking moment from my old unit on 31st floor... 7:11 AM July 5, 2017

https://vimeo.com/360104344

NOTE: @samintheloop.... the ceremony was 2018. Here is the whole image... not sure why they waited a year to have the ceremony.

Wolf Point East Ground Breaking Ceremony June 18, 2018

and I think you're right Bonobo the topping off was called a little early by Curbed and others including me... It does seem like that is the top of the crown now though.

Lurker... here is my floor count for 110 N.: 3 - base, 21 - curtain wall, 17 - naked floors, 6 core. so it's around 47 of 50. They do seem to be moving a little faster. I can see they have 4 elevators instead of 2. Another factor: thinking the buildout of apartments each with individual plumbing takes longer than a commercial floorplate. Not sure, maybe someone can weigh in.

110N is going to be 56 floors I believe, not 50. Means according to your count we have about 9 floors to go, plus parapet. Fantastic! It'll be very large

I do believe this is real limestone - avoiding the disaster that is 300 N LaSalle's river plaza

Sept 13

But wait ! there's more.

The attention to detail and quality of these towers makes me not care in the slightest that these could have been taller. The South tower (which Harry shows us they are testing for) will be amazing if it's 835' and built to this standard.

Unless it's to mask window washing equipment.

BTW, saw a soil testing truck on the south tower site this past week.

True, the screenwalls are typically masking window washing equipment or mechanical equipment. It would be unusual to have an additional section above the current section because you would typically fabricate the vertical components as long as possible to limit the amount of field labor installing them (which is quite expensive). The sections on the east side of the building are up to the same elevation as the sections in the center. If it was going another lift up, the center sections would likely have been made taller to begin with.

Yea you saying this now but I’m sure once it’s almost completed you retract your comment.

Absolutely. Everything about these is spot-on.

It’s a nice addition on the river

Like a smaller 300 N LaSalle.

That was 1.2 million. Sq feet and around 759 feet tall.

Someone remind me if this dementions

Thx
