Dallas Amli Fountain Place

This project has been approved, and has started groundbreaking.
There is a lot of movement on ground. I really wish we had a drawing on the Dallas database and would move this building to Approved/Under Construction.
I will take some pics in the next couple of days.

Which ones? I imagine they would all be lucrative contracts.

It's really awesome that they are echoing IM Pei's Fountain Place tower in their design and facade. It's rare that developers care that much.

I took a walk along the ground floor retail area of the garage this afternoon and this area will be pretty amazing once everything is finished

So, are there any building elevations floating around showing the heights for this? I'm really excited for this one.

By the way, I'm really kind of glad they only built one tower in the Fountain Place development. The design is too good to replicate. Plus, I think it would have been a distraction in appreciating the design. It's one of those buildings you have to see from all sides to really "get it". Having two of them would have been sort of strange.

Image found online! https://www.multihousingnews.com/pos...award-winners/

I am not sure who the creator of the rendering is, but it is something I had not seen before. The article was written by IvyLee Rosario Nov 7, 2017.
I am so excited for this project!
Enjoy.

This thing sure does look taller than 562 feet. The bottom of the sloped roof of Fountain Place starts around 525 feet, and this is supposedly 562 feet. That sure does look like more than 40 feet. I'm thinking this thing is more like 600 feet. Look how tall it is compared to the Energy Plaza, which is supposed to be 629 feet.

It was a blessing in disguise that the second Fountain Place tower was not built. This tower will complement the existing one well without exactly duplicating it-leaving both to be admired alone on their own merits.

The towers will be similar and will 'speak' to one another in a language of planes and voids without being exact duplicates of one another.

Hell, hopefully they will eventually throw in a third one.
