People can get sunset views anywhere (you won't see these supertall, slender residentials going up on the Hudson). The money view for these towers is Central Park and midtown after that.
Plenty of other towers for west side views, so anybody with that priority wouldn't buy in a tower like this.

The setback fun really goes into high gear when it passes One57.

Well, I’m sure the mass dampers will keep this tower anchored.

Seeing that lattice crown go up in real photography versus digitized renders and drawings will be IMO the highlight of all this supertall nirvana.

Now this is a beaut of a tower. So much better than Central Park Tower and 432 Park

One57 is about to be surrounded by very tall neighbors!
111 W 57th is also going to give 432 Park a very nice view.

I just can't wait to get to the setbacks that will define this one on the skyline...

I let out a "Oh my word" when I saw this picture. The effect of its undulation is so clear here, it kinda threw me off for a second.

yes after it catches one57 it will become its own elegant beast.

that is, it will very noticeably come into its own i think.

that makes sense and it is a good marker of progress for the tower.

they are really doing a good job of keeping apace of the height with the facade.

That facade is so beautiful that I could imagine weeping with joy if I ever had the chance to see it in person...

Okay, that's a little dramatic, but still... Seriously, how hard could it be to give that level of attention to a few more designs, a little more often? This building is art.

I don't blame you. When I saw NYC from the top of Rockefeller for the first time, after dreaming about it since early childhood, I lost it and sobbed like a baby. A dream come true
