Have you checked the jobs section in your paper? I think I saw London Drugs advertising for a franchise owner here recently.

Yes I have looked at a lot in the jobs section ha. It seems that section is getting smaller and smaller.

Ours is a single page right now, mostly large ads for companies in Alberta, or things like pharmacists and surgeons.

The only reason I've gone to St. Vital Centre in the last 10 years is to go to London Drugs (I live far west Charleswood). I think I've gone there twice.

Does anyone think a Winnipeg restaurant would qualify for a spot on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives (food network show)? No chain restaurants or strictly burger places please.

I think Nick's Inn in Headingly would be a great location for that show. " Now that you have tried the rest, try the best"

If I'm not mistaken the long time restaurant vacated sometime earlier this year citing too much seedy characters in the area. A few months later a new restaurant opened up (ethnic food?).

That is Famena's Roti. She moved from Notre Dame after Kraut King went under.

It's pretty "meh" as far as roti goes.

careful... that's some fighting words there my friend. i'll give ya Bindy's for best roti in town (esp. their shells), but roti like that would put them out of business in T&T in a year.
