Work continues apace.

TNS 2
The north and west sidewalk work is coming along nicely.
Overheard some workers say it looks like ~6 weeks and they'll be finishing up.

^ Hopefully the City will get to work fixing the sidewalk on the north side of Graham as soon as the south side is rebuilt.

Carlton between Graham and St. Mary is going to need a rebuild after construction pounded the poop out of it!

[quote]The 24-storey residential tower at 225 Carlton St. also will include two floors of retail and four floors of office. Apartment sizes will range from 500-square-foot, one-bedroom units — likely starting somewhere above $1,000 per month — to penthouse suites. It will open in the spring of 2019, but pre-marketing will begin next fall.[\quote]

Seriously! I was just looking at the pictures of the Scott Block lofts on Main Street. Everything was white-on-white-on-white. I felt like I was looking at the future as depicted in the old Woody Allen movie Sleeper

To each heir own. Never a fan of Ikrapa. I appreciate real furniture, crafstmanship..seems lost on many these days. Wood dust, shavings glue, formaldehyde do not do it for me.

^ That's fine, but not everyone has the money for fine furniture. Ikea blows most other budget options out of the water.

Absolutely....all personal taste. Personally I dig a 70's style pad with diagonal brown lines on the walls and the word "door" painted on the door.

@numberTENarch
Looking good #Winnipeg! The evolving view of downtown looking North-East from the top floor of the Medical Arts Building.

Real furniture cost $10,000 for a bedroom set.. Many can't afford that.
