Honestly I think it could get to 900 with just a spiral

Ladies and gentlemen, we have vertical parapet beams! And they're taller than I expected.
I'd snap a pic but too lazy to find hosting...

Thats why a super tall at this location would work so well...would be quite epic if you see how good it looks at 850 ...

Yes, both the design and location for this and One Chicago screamed supertall. We are just too spoiled sometimes

1,250+ would've been ideal.

Maybe someday we'll see another really tall building in Chicago, sad the opportunity for this location is blown though

Is this the top, or is there more crown to go above the tip of the core?

Are the tops of the two Pelli Clarke towers at WP an homage to the crown of 121 Wacker? I see some resemblances for sure.

It's a nice building! But I work farther west -- I was on site for a project and decided to take some snaps.

I can see a former office (Lyric Opera House) from the vantage of another former office (20 S Riverside Plaza). I miss living and working downtown. Such a joy to walk along the River every day...

Veeeeery interesting. Looks a bit different than the stacking plan for the crown. Eg https://www.333wolfpoint.com/wp-cont...cking-Plan.pdf

Looks like 5 'levels' on the top instead of 4. Also the height of the top of the crown above the concrete elevator shaft looks a bit taller via the drawing just eyeballing.

Did they go a bit taller? Is this the additional 15' or is this another 15' on top of that? Very interested to learn the final height.

Regardless I think the crown lighting on this one is gonna kick some ***.
