I've always been a fan of the more layered skylines, with taller behind shorter, having 1000' right on the part kind of removes the possibility for that layering and depth to the skyline. Being isolated to 1 site where nearby buildings aren't going to be demolished any time soon helps, but still. I'd rather see this a 5-600 footer with a 1000 footer behind it years later than just have a 1000 footer here where you can't see anything behind it. I'm more than happy with the height on this one where it is.
It may be a while before we see another start construction, but we'll surely here about the planning stages of some in the not too distant future, and that's almost as exciting. Now is the time to start developing big plans to get a project ready to pounce and capitalize on getting to market as soon as possible after conditions improve.
