Boom goes the dynamite! This one has got to have two cranes right, or is that wrong thinking?

is it possible that they're just setting the base piece of the crane into concrete right now and that the rest of the crane will show up later on down the road?

^^^ Gotta wonder if they aren't putting the tower up given the expansiveness of this site. Usually the use the little wheeled mobile cranes to build the mat and then put up the tower, but this may may be so wide and use such large rebar that the dinky little mobile cranes can't handle it. I suspect they are intending on putting up the crane since they apparently went out of their way to put that sleeper in right away just for the base.

Wasn't foundation drilling supposed to go until like April or something like that?

We haven't really had too many bad weather days this winter. Would it be safe to say they are ahead of schedule?

Yeah it seemed like we only had a week where it was actually winter weather and now it's back to this weird 30 degrees and windy, but clear weather. I'm not complaining though

You can start to see the outline of a building. And with the pipes they are laying is that electrical, gas or water. Anyone know?

It's amazing how little I know about construction when I see these photos. Amazing nonetheless.

That is PVC being used for electrical runs - the gentle curves allow the use of "fishing" a long stiff wire that can be pushed through and then used to pull the wires along. It will be encased in concrete.

I was there between BVic and you - pictures soon.

That's exactly what's just happened. It's being installed right now.
