Excellent update. I think this will turn out better than the renderings suggested.

Can see the darker paneling on the South-facing side pop up from the South Street bridge and its....kinda very ugly :/, the fact that this building is so wide will only make it more prominent too, obscuring a good chunk of Cira Centre

That's my issue with it. It's like a shoebox turned on it's side.

I guess it's cheaper to build extremely large floorplates vs. smaller ones at twice the height?

I am glad this uncommon parcel of land was developed as student apartments. I think it will be wildly successful givens its location between Penn and Drexel. It will surely be a money-maker.

Hoping for some creative lighting.
It's prominent on the skyline.
Maybe looking good at night

A few images in the gallery. Looks like the design is somewhat different from the first page of this thread. Still not great, but better imo

personally I'd say this more important for the density in the area rather than the design...

The building isn't pretty, but students need to live somewhere

Some corner windows on that northwest corner would do wonders for this design but so far it’s not offensively awful, especially considering it’s student housing

That's good.
Not an award winner, but good infill and will a lot of people to a quiet stretch.

I don't think these were posted, but they're from the Standard's website. They seem to be more accurate to what's going up which seems to be using a lot more of the black than CDR showed. The black material, though making the whole project dark, at least has a matte finish that doesn't look cheap.
