I like it. Someone in the One Chicago thread was comparing that building to this one saying it was better, and while I disagree, I also don't think the two are alike at all. I would say that other building is maybe more like the Central Park Tower in its massing. This one is substantially bulkier than both of those.

Here is the diagram page with those three side by side.
http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?

I like all three buildings, of course, but I think The Spiral executes the effect better. One Chicago sort of mimics it, but I think it's more of a design feature that sort of comes to that effect in a randomized sort of way, where as The Spiral is definitely deliberate.

Truly awesome what has been built in a couple of years.
And to think about what is yet to come.

Very cool evening twilight shot. I feel like I'm peering, a bit, into those impressive penthouses at 15 and 35 HY. 15HY doesn't get enough love imo, I very much like the play of light on the curvy glass.

I think if you put both 15 and 35 HY on 5th Avenue, you'd see more opinion and play. The Hudson Yards still has that out of the loop feel.

Gary Hershorn is a godsend.

Yes he is.

Sometimes it seems that there is so much happening, and so fast, it can be hard to keep track of. But we are fortunate to have a lot of great photographers out there.
