That's what I see as reasonable. When driving down the avenues doing 50, it seems fast to me.

Nevermind if you're in some of the newer areas with curvilinear streets. Doing 50 is too fast.
Be honest, are you really going 50!?

No probably doing 40.

The point is, the incremental change from 50 to 40 to 30 might cost you 10 seconds driving time going down the block. But is a major difference is stopping distance in case that's needed.
