Getting height of structures by using Google Streetview

How good or how bad can one get the height of a structure by using Google Streetview pictures?
In principle, it should work as coordinates of the location where pictures are made and the coordinates of the structure are known.

Use google earth and move you cursor; it show you the elevation at the bottom right of the window. Of course, that's assuming you have 3D structures at your location :p
