A Brief Exploration of Northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba

Ispuchaw Lake is one of the many smaller lakes located within Narrow Hills Provincial Park (293 km northeast of Saskatoon). We camped for two nights.

Afternoon fishing

Higher ground

Beautiful weather considering it was snowing a few days earlier.

Lake view from the campsite

The evening sounds of loons is especially memorable.

Very nice, I don't think I've ever seen Flin Flon pics here before. I can't wait to go camping this summer.. you put me in the mood.

So, how much gas did you use to start that fire? Holy crap!

Along with gas/canola oil and other fuels, a steady source of oxygen (a smaller air compressor) and big yule logs gave us the biggest flames. Its also beneficial to stir the hot embers every 5-10 minutes.

Yule logs

The first night, around 3 am, we heard a chainsaw not too far from our campsite.
