Desktop images you have taken.

I recently changed my desktop image. I tend to have the same image for long durations of time. There are a few constants with the images I choose.

They are usually:
  • Urban in nature
  • Dark
  • Photos I have taken.

Here are my previous desktop...

...and my current desktop.

These are obviously not full size.

I'm interested in seeing your desktop images, if they meet the criteria above.
Anyone?

^ This is my current one now... I tend to use all the other 3 images as desktop images below as rotation every month.

All Images are Not PhotoShoped; nor did they went through in any image enhancement in anyway.

Pictures are all taken from the Canon EOS 400D that I just recently bought 2 months ago. Pretty good IMO. Too bad I didn't bring my Nikon D200 along...

This is my current desktop. It's a highly edited picture of the new Cincinnati sign on the expanded convention center.

Here is the original

Just curious, are there lights out in the second C and second N? And why an E, not an A in Cinncinati?

The A's are lower case. The backwards E you see is actually a lower case A missing one light. The picture was taken very close to the completion of the structure, so they may not have had all the lights in yet. (Though I wouldn't be able to tell you why those particular ones are out.)

I use my own pics. Although I'm a true urbanist, I like pics of nature as desktop images. It has calming effect somehow.

I use my own also, but they are all over the map. Some examples from the past while:

Sometimes I keep them for quite a while, sometimes I change them once a week.
Usually I use my own, sometimes I "borrow."
My current desktop image (this week at least) is one I took last summer of Virginia and Buddy in downtown Rock Island.
The icons are in the tree on the left of the shot.
