Skyline shots, 4-27-18

Loop and north. No sign of Vista yet. I think Wolf Point East will block off my view of Marina City unfortunately.

The Changing South Loop. Essex and OGP are in view now.

^ That's ok. WPS will block part of your view of WPE haha. That view has got to be sick at night. You get the entire skyline.

OBP already helps balance the skyline more. Add One Chicago, and that lull between JH and Trump will be nicely filled in.

I think the reporter on this Article has the facts messed up on the 60 story tower reference or either something I missed?

Developer acquires River North mixed-use property near tower project
A 60-story development is planned next door to Continental Property's recent purchase

"The corner property is home to the pizzeria Giordano’s, and next door to a planned 60-story tower designed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill for Symmetry Development and Fordham Real Estate"

"That plan was apparently abandoned, as Symmetry returned last year with the Carillon project, according to Curbed. That construction has Reilly’s blessing and includes 216 hotel rooms, 120 hotel timeshares, 246 luxury condos, and 30,000 square feet of retail space, Curbed reported."

I mean they have their permits - so yeah sure he could still try and block I'm guessing, but they still have the legal right to build.

It is Toyoko, not Tokyo. The only drawing, not rendering, is here:

This is from 2011. I found something from 2016 stating that they're changing some of the cladding from pre cast to metal panel. It claims that the change will not adversely affect the neighborhood/surrounding buildings.

Haha, I feel stupid... I've been calling that thing the wrong name in my head for like a week now.

Also, that thing is gonna be an ugly one, won't it? At least it's not very tall
