This complex is going to take 5+ years to complete. So far, at least, they have been excavating one tower at a time. Pictured above is the dig for the 216m tower; next up is the 307m tower; and last is the 263m tower.

Pinnacle to launch 95-storey Toronto SkyTower condos

https://renx.ca/pinnacle-to-launch-9...ytower-condos/

Quote:
.....

Feb 13, 2020 - Pinnacle International is launching the second phase of its mixed-use Pinnacle One Yonge development, the 95-storey SkyTower condo tower which will dominate a significant portion of the city’s skyline. --- “Our approach to this phase, and the other elements of this master-planned development, was predicated on a commitment to not just merely add yet another condo to the downtown core,” Kwok said in the release. “Instead, we recognized the unique privilege provided by this site to forever reshape the Toronto skyline.”

Weird that they went with the shortest tower first. If they had gone with the supertall first it would have been a race with "Norman Foster's "the One" to complete Canada's first supertall which IMHO is noteworthy.

What this won’t win in timing it will apparently win in height. The latest elevations apparently show this at 312m, besting One Bloor by a whopping 4m (308m).

Looking north/west - a new render of the 3-tower One Yonge development (u/c), featuring SkyTower, Canada's future tallest. (to the left of SkyTower is CIBC Sq. Phase 1 u/c - an earlier pic/now topped out).

It's crazy when you look at this rendering and ask, where is First Canadian Place?

Render: when all 3 phases are complete - other than a slice of TD and a corner of CommerceCourt - only Scotia will remind us that one of the tallest financial districts on the planet is just up the street (from this pov).

At least CIBC Square's dazzling diamonds will sparkle (night-lighting already installed on every single diamond).

Small correction to the thread title.

SkyTower (One Yonge) is 312.5 meters, not 309m.
