There is only a small error in the image. The tower at the bottom is Taipei 101 and has nothing to do with New York.

It will probably be refined more. I like the base a lot, the top could use a little work. Depending on what they do here, this could actually be the tallest building on Park Avenue. I expect a nice design from Foster & Partners either way.

Nice work!

I hope they fix the thing jutting out in Tower Fifth and these will be a great cluster, hard to believe this could be a reality someday!

350 and 270 really work well together. Not surprising since both would come from the Foster offices.

270, 350, and tower fifth would make the skyline go crazy! Could just call new york done after that, and it'd be insane with that many super talls. Although the more the merrier lol still those 3 towers with that close of vicinity combined with the billionaire row skyscrapers and vanderbilt and ESP would just be crazy. Something near Times Square to close the gaps would be nice too but don't have to get greedy

Empire Station is really going to make the skyline crazy with super talls. Its essentially a flower pot that will yield super talls for the next 18 years.

Whats going to be dynamic from a skyline perspective at certain angles will be phase II of HY. We also have the LES cluster that once things return to normal, hopefully 2021/2022, we should see some action there. LES developments might make the most profound impact. Sometimes, its not the sheer height of the towers at hand, but where they are located.

LES, and HY really alter the aesthetics.

Sorry to burst your bubble and all but things will never be like they were before. The demand for such new builds will be very different to what they would have been. Some will happen, some won't and some may even get cancelled.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but because NY is the financial capital of the world, and the only global city in America, the demand for this space will continue. Consider the recent leases by Google and Facebook, the search for space by Blackstone, IBM, etc.

This isn't Atlanta, Charlotte, or Denver. Those cities may very well be dead. By contrast, the Greatest City in the World is alive, thriving, and with the sad decline of London, it's poised to totally dominate global finance.

Never said it wouldn't. But things will be different. Both London and New York are suffering and will continue suffer immensely. The true fall out of this won't be seen for some time....maybe years. Come back this time next year and see if your so confident.

Skyhigher, Please read the WSJ or the Real Deal or Crain's NY or any business news or read the articles posted to understand the leasing and forecast climate for NYC and its associated projects.

Google, Facebook, Blackstone, IBM... just a few examples as mentioned by JMKeynes.

There's a thread in city discussions, how covid is impacting your city... the discussion is more suitable for there than the 350 Park thread.

Not derailing, just calling you out. The city is never going to be the same. End of discussion.

What a ridiculous comment. If the City is never going to be the same again, then the rest of the world is never going to be the same again. But people such as yourself cry to the skies every time something happens. And they're proven wrong every time. Every time. So, you will forgive us if we ignore your cries of the sky falling.

Now, anyone with any common sense would expect that it will take a little while for things to get back to normal. But this city, and the rest of the world has overcome far worse. Even the pandemic of 1918 didn't stop the rise to the sky of so many of the skyscraper greats that we know of today. So just give it a rest. The world has not come to an end, it is dealing with a health crisis that will pass. And then, life and business goes on.

You clearly have an agenda spouting off your nonsense across several threads here. Quite frankly it’s annoying and I don’t care to see your crackpot, tin foil theories. This isn’t the place for it.

Predictions are predictions, there's no way to actually predict the future and say what will happen. Doomsday theories appear all the time, and rarely have any merit.

Tough times are ahead, sure, but how can you say what will happen 10 or 20 years from now?

Anyone who thinks we're at the end of the world just doesn't know anything, and won't learn anything. As I said, the world has survived worse, and will likely face worse. But then it moves on. That's just the way it is. Skyscrapers will remain on the rise worldwide. Business around the world will continue to occupy them.

It's sort of like shooting fish in a barrel but remember after Sept 11 everyone said "the city would never be the same" and many thought a tall building would never be constructed again? That lasted how long?

And it turned out to be just the opposite. Supertall buildings starting springing up like crazy. Even in the US there were proposals for supertalls. I think some of it had to do with people realizing how much those buildings meant to the city as icons, and what they represented.
