Updates?

Does anyone have updates on this project? Have they at least finished two floors yet? I know it's super hard to build on the riverwalk.

Question

Also in my opinion the building would look kinda weird in that area, I'm not saying the building is ugly btw it's a beautiful building but in that location?

That's going easily be the coolest block downtown when the dust is settled imo.

I would agree with you, but the Canopy has chosen to make Commerce Street their own personal back alley.

Yeah, that's really terrible planning. Someone at the city really screwed up allowing that to happen. That's just awful. I wouldn't want to walk by all that garbage on a hot San Antonio day (which is 3/4 of the year) or any day for that matter. I can't stress how bad that is.

I’ll give you hot half the year and even that is a stretch.

That said, are we sure this is not temporary. If not, they need to build something around that.

Well, we may both perceive hot differently, but I meant hot enough to make garbage even stinkier than it is when you throw it in the dumpster out on the public sidewalk.

It is temporary. The trash compactors that stay inside are stuck on a boat from China, like everything else these days.

The project is currently up to 5 levels high (4 above street level). Level 5 has those interesting diagonal columns. Wish I had photos to upload but I drove by this morning before the sun rose and none of my pics came out well.
