Taipei: Where The Ground Shakes

I've been going to Taipei for over twenty years now. It's one of my favourite cities to hang out in. It's full of friendly people, amazing nightlife, delicious food, and a plethora of interesting neighbourhood to explore. I was back earlier this year, and around the same time last year with my camera in hand.

Such an underrated destination - I was really blown away by Taiwan when I went there back in 2016. Visually and vibe-wise, Taipei is like if Bangkok and Tokyo had a baby. Such a cool place.

Great collection of shots. Taiwan is high on my list for my next trip to Asia.

Amazing stuff. The thing that sticks out for me, weirdly, are the steps going up/down from stepping out of the subway LOL!

Thanks, everyone. I've added a few more photos that I missed when first posting this thread.

ColDayMan, the stairs are elevated due to flooding. Taipei is in a basin, and is prone to flooding during typhoons.

destroycreate, that's a pretty apt analogy.

Nice set! Curious how did you take this photo of the new Fubon building - drone?

Fantastic work! My favorite is definitely the photo of the pouring rain with a fuzzy Taipei 101 in the background. Very Taipei.

Yup. It was shot with a drone. You can see some of the shots in this video:
