This is kind of disappointing. JDS does really nice work in NY. This is mediocre.

I rather like it. It’s a diversion from the usual tropicale.

Can a mod resize the picture for me?

The top is giving me an art deco vibe.

That crown redeems it, but that base looks terrible...

This will be made or broken by materials choices, but I like the flying buttresses at the top.

Looks better than any of the other supertalls proposed for Miami.

This looks like a tower that would rise on Madison Ave in the E 30s. Nice but not iconic.

JDS is cutting corners here. Miami is amazing and warrants better.

Also, this design doesn’t really go well with the Miami style.

The crown reminds me of this one, currently under construction in Manhattan....

Are those more sculptural reliefs on the base?

Looks a bit too faux gaudy like it came out of Sim City. And that podium is atrocious.

‘Remarkable’ 90-Story Major Supertall Condo-Hotel In Brickell Will Have Miami’s Only Silver & Gold Pool
https://www.thenextmiami.com/remarka...ver-gold-pool/

Quote:
New over-the-top details of the Major supertall tower planned in Brickell have been released as the developer prepares to launch sales.

Here’s a look at some of the key newly released points:

Major will have a silver and gold pool. “I want to celebrate this sexy City with an
indulgent swim in the only silver and gold pool in Miami,” said tower designer William Sofield of Studio Sofield.
Etc...
Quote:
JDS and Major Food Group are the developers. Building & Interior Design is by Studio Sofield, with Restaurant Design by Ken Fulk.

In a press release, JDS Founder & CEO Michael Stern called Miami “the best city in the world” and promised the new supertall would be “remarkable.”
