Not sure if any permits have been filed but 3 days ago the restaurant said they permanently closed their Rainey location: https://goo.gl/maps/8WxwuAXFwEMoghuo6

Yup. Their website says they will be relocating to 2909 Guadalupe which was the site of Miltos.

Here's a packet of info for next week's DC meeting and a few of the renderings.

The stacking plan with that lists it as 455 feet. It's still 41 floors.

Here's a new rendering of the tower from the DC presentation. The updates are very subtle.

Like the colors on this one. Surprised it's still kicking after months of radio silence in COVID times.

The elevations stopped at 446', but that wasn't the total height. 455' looks like the actual height.

Color scheme will be a great match to the supertall around the corner

Parking garage cover looks kinda like Nativo's. Not very nice looking but at least it's not as bad as the Independent.

Austin-based McCray & Co. (https://www.mccray-co.com/) is handling the finish outs for the units, and the lobby/amenity design.

Ya'll might recognize them from any of the Ramen Tatsu-ya restaurants, and a bunch of others around town.

New elevations were just posted for AULCC. There were some minor tweaks from the last elevation posted. But it looks like the 455' height from the stacking diagram is still valid.

Were you able to get the link to work? I've had trouble getting it to load all week.

Yes, I haven't had any issues opening AULCC files this week. I didn't bother posting the new version because it wasn't all that different from the previous version I posted earlier today.

The DC approved the density Bonus at Monday's meeting. The developers were told that they needed to do more work towards getting the approval back in September at a Working Group meeting. The site provided some challenges because TxDOT's right-of-away comes to close to the front of the building to allow a complete Great Streets treatment and the alley way to Rainey St. in the back is not owned by the developers. That limited how inviting they could make it as an access point.

I'll bet that rust red vertical stripe really stands out. Especially if the glass has a strong blue tint.

I didn't realize this, but the density bonus approved by the DC was not enough to build this as proposed. It goes to the PC on 12/08; then to CC after that.
