Here's what you do. Wait until Skip the Dishes or UberEats starts delivering Five Guys. Problem solved.

LOL at the fatties here complaining about getting out of their car and walking a few feet to get their 2000 calorie burger meal.

Be happy you finally got a Five Guys! I'm sure there will be other locations. Besides, Five Guys is best enjoyed fresh off the grill and out of the fryer. Not after a long drive home to eat!

Ron.

First Five Guys I went to was in a mall with an internal and external entrance although that was in the states (Cape Cod, Mass). I also visited on in a strip mall in California. Not sure of their Canadian locations as I only know the one in Mississauga. I hope eventually they have one not in the mall - I still keep hoping for a good movie theatre not in the mall.

I've been to Five Guys restaurants in Ottawa, Montreal and Celebration, FL (i.e. Disney area). They ranged from a nice, standalone building with outside seating (Celebration) to a sketchy, hole-in-the-wall joint (Downtown Montreal - next door to Club Supersex to be exact... LOL!). The burgers tasted great in all locations. I wouldn't hold my breathe for another location anytime soon. Halifax has only two locations and I believe those opened pretty recently. However, it's pretty neat we're getting and Five Guys. It's more on the expensive side of fast food but the burgers are tasty... I hope you like fries, you usually get a bag full!

I've been to many Five Guys locations in Canada and the US. The locations vary from glitzy high profile spots to strip mall locations. One thing they don't have is a drive-thru, which is fine by me. What they do have is consistently great burgers and I can honestly say, I've never had a bad one.

No I wouldn't expect another location any time soon. Its great to see something new particularly this year. Also as an east ender I'm happy its not in Galway lol.

Geez, there’s more drama here over a burger joint than there’s on Young And Restless. Lol.

H&M Grand Opening

H&M's website says they are opening up in the Avalon Mall on December 2nd.
I've also heard commercials on the radio about the opening, but they say December 3rd. Maybe a soft opening the day before.

Was at the mall yesterday. The store, Ardene has now been moved into and taken over the entire Victoria’s Secret former location.

Updated site plan of the mall on Crombie's website shows that CIBC, Burger King, and Starbucks are 3 of the 4 new spaces going in the parking lot

The national Retail Insider website has been doing tours of various malls and shopping centres across the country and have done an extensive photo tour of Avalon Mall. For anyone who haven’t been there in quite some time, this is a pretty cool article to check out, highlighting the new expansion, new renovations and new stores....

Looks like construction or site prep for the new Starbucks and Burger King on the mall parking lot has begun. They were ripping up the the pavement at the site over the weekend. I think that’s where they are going anyway.
