I was skeptical but I think that balcony variations as a design element could actually work really well with a lot of buildings. You know the unit with that corner-hugging, boxed balcony on the NW corner will be pricier than the penthouse.

The crane is scheduled to come down the last weekend in January.

Fantastic pics - wow.

Side note, Natiivo turned out better than I thought. I like the brown against the sea of greys and blacks.

This building has completely changed the views from the SE of town, in real life even more so in those (awesome) pics. It looks enormous and incredible from 71E and Riverside, especially in the sunrise.

Now imagine what that view will look like once the supertalls and the Modern go up. The Google tower is gonna be blocked from this POV already. It's a cutthroat business, this skyscraper boom. You only shine for so long on that skyline.

Edit: or maybe not!

I'm looking at the wrong building. Google tower view might be spared from that last photo's vantage point. Looks like the Austonian is the one getting blocked from that view.

I don't know - if someone could do the work on Google Earth and draw a line or something... It seems to me that the supertall will block JW Marriott from this angle. Could be wrong, but either way, significant height on this part of downtown. Fairmont is nearly 600' to the spire, right? Imagine just over 1,000' from the view from the airport!

Indeed it is. I forgot to source it and am currently not in Austin. But a good view of 44 East nonetheless.
