Sorry about that... Don't know why I typed 625 instead of 825 West Adams...

Well, this one is more "in the hood", and away from the gentrification and yuppie NIMBY's of the west loop.

BTW, the above rendering is for phase one. There's a potential phase two (of similar scale) in the works.

It's probably (and looks like it to me) a chop.

I’m fine with the tower, but if they’re going to step down to three stories at the corner anyway, it seems a shame not to reuse the facade of the brick building that is there already.

Reading the butthurt NIMBY comments on the DNA article almost brings a tear to my eye.

I like this one. I think this will do a good job bridging the gap between IMD and Little Italy/Taylor St.

How awesome would it be to see a tower go up over the El tracks in the surface lot at the top of this picture? There's a tower like that in Miami, and no reason that can't be done in Chicago, assuming costs line up and there aren't any ordinances preventing it. Yes, the curve would make it more of an engineering challenge than the Miami tower, but there's more than enough land on either side of the tracks in that upper lot to make it possible.

You can already see something like that over the pink line at Congress in the IMD. Does anyone know how that’s worked out for the CTA, and if they would be open to doing it again?
