I'm pretty sure some of the regular posters are socialites/society people.

I mean, the username Esquire should be a dead giveaway of that...

We do have socialites. It's just that there are only 15 of them and they're at every event

See the membership list of the Manitoba Club as a reference point.

Avenue was the bank across the street, now APTN.

what was the name of the bar in the Portage Village Inn before it became A&B Sound? was it the "Junkyard" or something like that? I'm pretty sure I saw the Tragically Hip there, late 80's?

I think you mean across the street where CIBC was and now APTN?
I had a friend working there.

My two cents.

Looks like a proposal for the lot just north of Lions Manor. I think the view is of Sherbrook facing south, with Portage Ave. crossing in the distance.

That looks like it's on Sherbrook, behind the Lions Manor building:

I remember there were other renderings for that area posted a while back.

Is this newer? I like this one.

It's a nice looking proposal... I'm guessing it's from a few years back? Is Lions still planning to do anything with that site or is the land on the market?

This appears to be the site. It has apparently been on the market for 249 days:

That’s funny. I was just coming here to post that. An animation of that model was the architect’s digital Christmas card.

Mass timber above the podium. Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing. Never heard of that. Maybe it means small units?

Would be a nice addition to the area.
