^ Maybe Biff's thoughtful post should be merged into the existing thread?

Do we have any moderators here who actually moderate properly? I haven't yet seen any, just one guy who posts...... interestingly.

Not sure if this one has been mentioned.

12 - 14 storey apartments with commercial on the main floor for the location of the shell station at Tuxedo park shopping centre. Start 2022.

Bulldozer onsite at the St Regis site today. Also, the Rockport Development signs have been removed from the construction fencing as well as the For Lease signs.

Anyone know anything ?

Does Biff’s mention of creating a cycle thread properly belong on a construction thread?

Someone posted the renders a while ago. I'm still surprised that shell station is getting torn down, always seems busy enough when I'm around.

I was wondering about the status of this project myself... there haven't been any tidbits since the renderings surfaced here last month.

There’s been a construction trailer on Lily for a while that I assumed was for Pump House. Turns out now MCCC’s parking lot on James is fenced in and the whole back of the concert hall around to the gardens has some hefty construction fencing up. Jersey barriers with high fencing. Anyone know what’s going on?

Ah, I was definitely hoping they were just going ahead with the east side expansion from the capital plan and just forgot to announce it. They have all the trees protected which are quite far from the building.

I’ve been told they were wanting to develop for a while but the lease with Safeway stipulated no blocking line of sight or some such thing. Lease has recently been redone.

I agree it's great news. IMO it shows investors believe that film production will continue to be strong in the province after Covid.

I wonder if they'll film "The Nygard Story" there? Or would that qualify as soft porn..??

That's so bizarre. Like I would get it from Safeway's POV if they were on the long strip of the mall and would actually be hidden, but the store is right to the street, with signage, and the front door already faces away from the street anyway.
